The Mansion

The Mansion in Baguio

The Mansion is the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines. It was built in 1908 by the Americans to serve as the summer retreat for their governors-general. It was named after Col. Lyman Walter Vere Kennon, who supervised the construction of the road that connects Baguio to the lowlands.

The Mansion is one of the oldest and most visited landmarks of Baguio. It has a Spanish Colonial Revival style and a main gate that resembles the one at Buckingham Palace in London. It also has a viewing deck that offers a panoramic view of the surrounding islands and sea.
